Custom Database
In 1996 R J Morris Services were commissioned to create a database system that would use some existing data from a simple MS Access database and also rationalise the somewhat antiquated time recording and billing systems in use at the time.
Over the subsequent few years the system expanded to include automatic document production required by government bodies which oversee all clinical negligence claims actions bought against NHS trusts: the National Health Service Litigation Authority and the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts.
This involved the storing and subsequent recall of all manner of detailed information relating to the defence of individual clinical negligence claims.
The system was extremely successful and the output was widely used by various NHS Trusts for long term financial planning relating to medical negligence claims.
As a result of the favourable reaction to the system from Barking Havering & Redbridge NHS Trust we were later asked to develop similar systems for them to handle complaints and clinical incidents.
Folgate Legal was formed on the retirement of the original partners at Scrivenger Seabrook. The database originally designed for Scrivenger Seabrook has continued and is now in use at Folgate Legal. We continue to support Folgate Legal with updates and enhancements.
